I know it can keep going, for for time purposes, I just went to .9.

If we are going to make it WP3, then I think we should release it later than
Sept. If we're going to jump version numbering, we had might as well make it
a really good release. Drop PHP4, add in the most requested Ideas, make
major performance improvements (such as writing something like WP-Cache,
except in the core, with an option to turn it on in the config), integrate
OpenID support, add themes, add a few plugins (WP.Com Stats for sure), Draft
Management System, make the DB structure better, etc. In my opinion, at
least.
