In IE 5.5 and below it is rendered with inheritance, which is not the
expected behavior and if you have it nested on a positioned element it
doesn't work even in IE6.

Besides it has some problems in modern browsers too, due to the nature of
the property, a hidden element still takes up space on the flow so it can
cause your layout to break.
