We definitely try to improve code as we go through things, but as you 
pointed out I don't think many of our users would notice or benefit much 
if rewrite from the ground up in MVC. (Well, they'd notice if it broke 
any plugins. :))

Remember that all programming methods are means to an end, not goals in 
and of themselves.
