We haven't had a good rousing discussion for awhile, so lets argue about tags.

Chime in if you have opinions on database schema and overall design.
I've attached a couple of different patches to that ticket.  One
introduces a new tags table and the other reuses the categories table.
 If you care about categories and tags, cast your opinions on this
thread and submit your patches and design ideas to trac.
