[wp-hackers] importing nested structures

Hi

When importing content from another WordPress blog (in 2.3), some of the 
nested structure of e.g. categories is retained but presumably because 
of conflicting IDs most seem to come in without the nesting.

Is this something someone is (or could be, or would want to be) looking at?
(I tried searching trac, but uhm,... just call me a fumbling idiot and 
get it over with)
