Well FWIW, the software isn't really being developed as a CMS, rather some
adventurous folks are hammering together plugins and hacks and such to make
WP work as a CMS. It's promoted as a personal publishing system, not as a
CMS. The majority of users will be bloggers, so why confuse them for the
sake of highly technical people who wish to create a CMS from a blogging
tool?
