Not all of the files are using the tab convention.  Before the 2.0  
release, I went through and fixed a some of the files, especially the  
wp-includes/*-functions.php type ones... but there are plenty more  
that are using spaces.  I'm going to continue to work to do "cleanup"  
runs on the code whenever I have time... so the next major release  
should be even "prettier."

When submitting patches, try and follow the coding conventions, and  
maybe look at some of my "massive code cleanup" patches to see the  
kind of things I was correcting, regarding tabs, and other spacing/ 
whitespace issues:
