Yes, seriously.  I would also go as far as to say WP should use YADIS to
declare that we support OpenID and not any of the other technologies (yet?).
There's a few new technologies (SXIP, IIRC, was one of the big names)
jumping on the YADIS bandwagon.

Again, this isn't something that needs to be in core (though it'd be
nice! :D)... but an official, well-working Global Login System built on
OpenID would rock.

P.S. Supporting OpenID comments instantly gives you a participant base
of every up to date journal site (LiveJournal, of course, being the
people in the lead as far as developing the software, DeadJournal, and
probably GreatestJournl and a few others).
