[wp-hackers] Help: Page Save and Permalinks errors

Hi all,

I have a client who has over 750 Pages (not Posts) in a WP 2.0.2
installation.

There are two issues I noticed this morning.

1. When they go Save a new or existing page the page does save but
they are not taken back to the blank edit page form with the response
message. Instead they get an error page.

2. When I go to Options --> Permalinks to check the settings the page
does partially loads. I get the Blue banner. The top menu. The start
of the options menu: General, Writing, Reading, Discussion. I then
get what appears to be the start of an anchor tag. Assumed this if
the Permalinks sub-nav menu item. That is it. No JS or HTML errors
reports.

My question is could the large number of files somehow be affecting
the use of the items mentioned above? Also I recently install the
Blicki plugin to capture some versioning. Just deactivated this
option while investigating the issue.

Last. I did make some changes to the edit-pages.php code and the
get_rows() function in admin-functions.php. This was because the
Pages listing was taking 4-6 minutes to load. These changes also have
now been reverted back to the original 2.0.2 code.

Anyone seen something like this before?

Paul
