Hi All,

Just a short message in case no-one reads my blog!

Following on from the seemingly large number of people hit by the vulnerability  in 1.5.1.1 and earlier even now a
month after the update was released I have put together an XML-RPC webservice (using IXR) and a corresponding plugin
that checks to see if $wp_version is up to date or not

This is possibly something that would be nice to have in core wordpress as an easy heads up way of getting a message
to the end-users.
