Put it this way:
Given that I asked for this plugin to make things easier for those
non-techs, which method would be easiest for your complete non-tech
relative ? Honestly ? If your mother / sister / uncle had a blog, which
could they handle the best ?

@Roy - I have never uploaded to wp-content and on every blog I have
installed have created an alternate directory. It's a sitting target -
every single WP blog has one. I think we should advise that users store
NO data in core directories. None.
