[wp-hackers] updating 1.5.1.3 to 1.5.2

That is what I am trying to understand, nothing worked with Wordpress until 
I added the following line in my .htaccess:
php_flag register_globals on 

If you know why this breaks without it and how I can fix it without turning 
globals on I would be very interested.
