[wp-forums] One for the sock puppet whisperer?

Something very fishy about the reviews for this plugin: https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/pricefish-pricing-tables 

In four months this plugin has had just 800 downloads and received exactly zero reviews, then today it has had 45 five-star & 5 four-star reviews from accounts that were set up in the last three hours and have had no other activity.

Some of the reviewers have poor English and don't seem to know what they are reviewing. My guess is that suggest that rather than sock puppetry, these might be paid shill reviews. 

I'll remove the reviews & block the accounts. Do plugins get removed from the directory for attempting to undermine the reviews system?
