It's not "naughty" per se and I don't think that this particular user is 
trying to abuse it in any way. But I can see it causing confusion or 
potentially being abused by others on the forums.

Couldn't we just contact the user in question, explain the issues and 
ask them politely if they would please consider changing their gravatar?
