Should, only if you have a phenomenal backup.

Recommended, every other major release. So 2.7 -> 2.9 -> 3.0 -> 3.2 -> 
3.4 -> 3.5.1

Realistically, I'd do 2.7 -> 3.0 -> 3.5.1
