tl;dr: OP is trying to run WP on a fairly convoluted and tied down Uni 
set up. So far he can only access the site or wp-admin (but not both) 
depending upon what site url he is using.

I'm not sure he's ever going to get this to work but perhaps someone 
with more server-admin experience could suggest a solution?
