It's a sneaky trick ;)

I don't mind when people go OT a little, but when they start showing 
signs of serial you-suckage, it's better to stop it early. It's probably 
not a troll, and more a case where his anger and annoyance is clouding 
his ability to be reasonable and face problems with a solution oriented 
approach :)

Basically he's whining. Which is fine, but non-constructive and derails 
things.
