Thanks, that's good to know.
Turns out I had a tab still open where I deleted it first. I must have switched tabs and got lost among all my other tabs, then panicked.

That's a very good idea, and cool thing to take on. Thanks!

That's Otto; with his wordpress.org address, he's OK.

Well, he asked how to be a mod, and that was part of my gut reacton :)

I thought that account looked familiar! Anti-windows rhetoric? Is there a
Mr Roboto soundtrack to go with that...?
I've also deleted that post as it wasn't adding to the conversation except
to point fingers and do some name calling.
Thanks,

For reference though, he is correct about it being a bug in WP 3.5. It
will be / has been fixed in 3.5.1, but the bug makes people who have
it unable to upgrade away from 3.5 without manually setting their Temp
directory or doing a manual upgrade.
The bug is that WP 3.5 is doing the wrong kind of is_writable() check
for Windows systems. This has already been fixed in the 3.5 branch,
and a more comprehensive fix is being worked out for trunk:

I could use this, both for the bozo list, and I asked a question on P2 about 3.5.1 and it's stuck on moderation. And what's the URL of that list?

I saw that it was pretty much a bug higher up in the thread, but didn't know about it being on track for 3.5.1. Is there an ETA for 3.5.1 to be able to tell people about?

If you search Topics by the username and select "Deleted" under the Topic
Status dropdown you should be able to see it. I can see 3 listed from 20
minutes ago, 24 minutes ago and last May.
Could it be one of them?
