[wp-forums] Looking for a Mac user running a local install

Absolutely Macs use permissions. OS X is basically a nice UNIX box with a gorgeous UI (warning: gross oversimplication)

The usual shell chmod command apies here. You can get to the shell via /Applications/Terminal.app

I run all my local installs on a Mac using MAMP (a Mac specific version of XAMP) without problems.
