[wp-forums] wp_plugin_data() Function

Hello everyone. I was trying to give a hand here:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/php-fatal-error-call-to-undefined-function-get_plugin_data?replies=5
and landed on the exact same error described in the thread. I also found a
trac ticket that might be related to this:

Does anyone know what is going on?
