That's not a solicitation from the dev. Is the concern that he reminded the
person of their offer?

That is a very popular plugin and looking at it's support forum, 39/44
threads have been marked resolved.  So obviously the dev is helping users,
and quick glance I didn't see any other mentions of donation from dev.

I honestly don't see anything wrong with the reminder, but that's just my
opinion.
