[wp-forums] Should this really be posted under Meetups?

I'd say it sorta fits in. The description for the meetups forum is
"Find other WordPress users and developers in your area." So if people
want to use it to try to build up a group, I say let them give it a
shot.

The meetups forum is experimental after all. Let's see what happens.
