[wp-forums] Can't log in at wordpress.org

I tried to sign up for an account at wordpress.org in order to 
contribute a plugin, and was told that my email address (the one I'm 
writing this from) already exists. I've no idea what the username is for 
that account though, so I have no way of resetting my password (because 
the form asks for username not email address) or logging in.

Also, I'm taking over maintenance of an abandoned plugin. Is there any 
way to get added to the original plugin's repo (possibly by the original 
maintainer) or am I best just forking it?
