If you sign up in one forum (a non-english forum, the plugins
directory, etc.), you don't have any role in any other forum.  bbPress
0.9 would detect that situation and give you the default role (member)
when you logged into a new-to-you forum for the first time.

bbPress 1.x does not (a bug).

This should be working now for all users in all forums.
