Added the info from the original post into that Codex page, as well as 
the forum hot topics page.  Duplication I know but better safe I 
suppose.

As for whether to close the (newly-created) sticky or not, I can't 
decide one way or t'other what's for the best, so I've left it open on 
the basis that that would be the status quo, but without prejudice for 
it being closed if there is feeling enough to do so.
