My 2c is that we are good with the code we know, have broken and have 
mended over time.
MU is a different beast and we do not want/need crossover between "You 
helped me install MU last week so how do I do virtual hosts?" appearing 
in the .org forums.
That's not to say someone with lots of MU experience couldn't do that as 
an offshoot there though. I also tend to the feeling - and I could be 
wrong - that MU is more 'business' orientated and as such they buy 
expertise IMO.
