[wp-forums] Who is vkaryl?

People are, to a certain extent, missing the point here. Moderators have
duties beyond the abilities conferred by the change in status; they're there
to diffuse volatile situations so that the forum can function smoothly. In
addition, rightly or wrongly, they have greater responsibility due to the
perceived authority of their moderator status.

Whilst Vicki is generally helpful, in that thread, both of these points were
overlooked and as Matt has said, the flames were unnecessarily fanned. What
is a user to think when they read such words by a moderator on the official
support forums?

That said, I would have expected this to have been discussed privately
between Matt and Vicki. I'm not at all sure what the aim was to have this
aired publically.
