This is where I would differ.
I would have something like:
You
- give us your cpanel / ftp / important passwords.
We
- will install WordPress
- upload 2 extra themes (which WE set)(so that can play straight away)
- spam plugin?
- will check that the blog 'works'

and any other issues, come back to the forums.

You are strongly encouraged to change ALL passwords that you gave out.
All information sent by you is deleted when the install is complete.

I don't think we should be doing much more than getting it working.
But this IS a chance for us to have a "This is how to find help, where 
to look, use search etc"
