The one major problem with post count based things is they tend to favour people who BUMP!  I do agree that giving
someone extra status for just writing a plugin does seem unfair...  Maybe it was a bad idea.

What I meant here was.

At the moment to give someone the extra permissions to edit/delete etc. they are made a Maven, which I assume is
modeled with bbPress as a different type of user, people could be given extra permissions to enable them to help out
without a visible display of this extra status.

E.g. User "bob" gets given "delete thread permission" but still appears to everyone else to just be a "Member" not a
"Maven".
