I'm not sure exactly what spam filters are being used on the codex Wiki install, but there are a few spam extensions that could be installed and the extensive spam lists from wikipedia could be used to at least slow down the worst of the spam.<div>
<br></div><div>The spam lists can be updated on a special wiki page too so updating is easy. Actually another useful thing to do would be to keep an occasional eye on the recent changes list to watch for any other spam hits starting, because this guy did a few test pages before launching into the heavy spam. The earliest it gets blocked the less mess there is.<br>
