And those basics are there http://codex.wordpress.org/Writing_Posts (for
example). I'm not suggesting they not be. (double negative, sorry.)
I think there was a misunderstanding with regards to my pointing our the
WordPress.com docs as an *example*. I had responded to m3shrom here:

And I was reiterating that the codex should be solely for people managing
their own install. That's it. If they are managing their own network, that
is also covered, but we should not be expected to write docs for people who
have someone else managing their blog.
Does that make sense?
