Some of the pages in the search results do appear to have already been
deleted. Some more are being deleted just now. I'm unclear as to how
quickly the search page updates, but am thinking it's not very.
I think if you drop in around the page 300-400 mark you'd definitely
find some.
As for your other point, if there's a database way to selectively remove
the spam, that's brilliant, otherwise it'd be a manual effort (not
impossible, we scrubbed hundreds when the spam first hit). It has been
headed off - anti spam measures were put in place a few weeks back -
the ones in this result set pre-date those measures.
