[wp-docs] [wp-hackers] Codex and old versions of WordPress

How can the team help? Is there a list, or is it just by experience and
expertise to know what needs to be gone or marked as deprecated?

I can clean up the Task List http://codex.wordpress.org/Codex:Tasks and you
can add a list of docs there that we can take turns on and check off, if
that will help.
