Simple management:
Say it once or Say it dozens and dozens of times.
I'll pick the former.

What this _actually_ comes down to is trying to portray WP as some magic
app that only ever needs 1-2-3 to work no matter what or where it works
because it's just so special. For many that may work. For many it does not.

I actually thought that Codex was there to take load off the forums.

It doesn't matter what other apps do or do not, what matters is that
every single time WP goes up a version we get a glut of errors caused by
failed overwriting. It's not rocket science to make a connection is it ?
Overwriting = possible errors = user frustration = forum use

Maybe we should start answering with
"Upgrade error ? No idea .... did you follow Codex ?"
