My point to miklb was simply to say he doesn't need permission to create a
book.
The discussion on the hackers list (see
http://comox.textdrive.com/pipermail/wp-hackers/2005-July/001836.html) was
enlightening to say the least.
But from that discussion it's clear that Carthik, or Michael B, or anybody,
can produce a book as long as the GPL is followed.
Knowing that should make it easier in the future to create a book, whether
it be paper or electronic. The Codex team, or whoever decides to complile a
book, does not have to go through the nightmare of asking permission from
the hundreds (or thousands) of people who have contributed to Codex.
