[spam-stopper] Akismet failing

I don't know about time outs but for the first time ever I'm getting alot in
my moderation queue or slipping through altogether. Nothing like the number
being caught though and no biggie to remove but I wonder what's changed? The
spam doesn't appear to be more sophisticated or subtle.
