I think that you answered my question, i wasn't very clear.
What I meant was, will it be allowable for other developers to make
plugins which makes use of the automattic server and API, since the calls
are in your plugin, you can't exactly keep them secret.
As far as the stats , go, what happens to the spams that are caught by the
plugin? Are they moderated as spam? If so, then really all that is needed
is a generic spam/ham plugin for WordPress that checks with the local
statistics. I don't think anyone wants to see global spam stats (ie
automattic has crushed 4.2 trillion spam comments since 9/23/05, although
you'd very quickly surpass those McDonald's signs ;)
