No, the plugin will require a WP.com API key to work, but you can still
use it on standalone blogs. Think of it as an authentication key I suppose.
I think it will be a huge boon once spammers try to infect the db with
fake spams. We'll at least have some sort of paper trail to follow to
track them down.
