 Isn't this now fixed by [868]:

 branching: fix an issue where the orignal project childs paths were being
 overwritten.
 When a sub project was created, it still had the path of the project it
 was copied from. GP_Project::update_path() which is automatically ran took
 care of that, but it was also overwriting the original child projects
 path.
 By setting the path in advance, we prevent that.
