 First to clear the air, reverting definitely wasn't cool. GlotPress is a
 community project and community goals are first.

 Now on the the core of the issue.

 In our previous experience, on private projects like WordPress.com, it was
 more confusing for people to see file names than not to. It just looked
 like gibberish to them. It’s not about secrecy. As you mentioned, the POT
 file is public.

 For those like Milan, who actually know what to do with filenames and
 would benefit from them, I would prefer to give them another way to see
 the filenames, without confusing the rest of the users.

 One idea is to allow setting a Source file URL in Project actions →
 Personal project options. This will make the source files show, but only
 for those who care. And one can set them to link to let’s say
 WordPress.org Trac, so that at least some of the links will lead to
 sensible places.

 Let me know what you think, I’d be happy to take care of the
 implementation.
