 - I agree with this @johnjamesjacoby's opinion:
 https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/8132#comment:2 We probably
 need to consider stop using a popup window. Ideally & imho once we have
 #9098 fixed: this changelog information should probably be an admin notice
 to each Site Administrator.

 - Looking at [11999] I don't think there's a specific reason about why
 redirecting to the dashboard page instead of the BP Components one. I just
 believe it's easier as we don't need to check whether BuddyPress is
 network installed or not to build the query args.

 Our Main settings page is a submenu of 'settings.php' in Network admin
 while it's a submenu of 'options-general.php' in regular WordPress sites.
