Comment:

For the 14.0.0 release, this is fine since there isn't time to add more
clarity and granularity. For the 15.0.0 release, we should add clarity and
 granularity, e.g., [https://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/about
 /release-cycle/wordpress-release-team-and-focus-leads/ WordPress Release
Team and Focus Leads], which would further expand upon our
 [https://github.com/buddypress/buddypress/blob/96809dd25eed961fd7ffcf8ff84f7840795c5ae2/docs/contributor/project/release/leads.md
 Release Leads & Deputies].

In fact we should take a look at the entire
 [https://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/ Core Contributor Handbook] to
see/determine what makes sense to adopt and then codify/document within
 our [https://github.com/buddypress/buddypress/tree/master/docs/contributor
Contributor Handbook] such that we reduce the ambiguities that are
 currently present in our process.

We should also publish (BP Team Update - buddypress.org announcement) a
full release schedule for 15.0.0, e.g., similar to what WP had done with
 [https://make.wordpress.org/core/6-6/ WordPress 6.6 Development Cycle],
again in an attempt to reduce the ambiguity. The
 [https://make.wordpress.org/core/6-5/ WordPress 6.5 Development Cycle]
publication is interesting from the aspect of how amendments to the
 various release dates were handled.
