 Hi @dd32

 Thanks a lot for your very interesting feedback. I agree we should only
 count once in case of running a batch of `groups_join_group()`. We could
 enjoy this improvement in BuddyPress as we can add a list of users to a
 group from the WP Admin/Group screen.

 I'm going to look at it.
