 I've checked, this is **not** a regression caused by [13137]. But I've
 discovered it working on the corresponding ticket.

 Unlike what happens in regular configs, where a notice is displayed when
 settings are saved, saving settings inside the Network Admin will not
 generate such a notice at next page load.

 The attached patch is bringing this notice for Network Admin screens (when
 BuddyPress is network activated).
