already creates an account immediately on registration (before valudating
that the users intention).
"Registration" involves a user submitting their own email address, which
constitutes consent. "Invitation" involves one user submitting someone
else's email address, and is a BuddyPress-specific feature. And email
addresses definitely are *not* public information. Perhaps you're thinking
of `user_nicename` and `user_login`, which the WP project has generally
