Comment:

 So the cause of this 404 error the line below in the file /wp-
 content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-catchuri.php

 $wp_rewrite->use_verbose_page_rules = false;

 This line can be wrapped around with IF statement to check if the page is
 BP or non BP page.
