 In my opinion, I love when updates are non-events, and I dislike when an
 update requires attention.

 A modal window seems, to me, like the ultimate annoyance.

 The people we want to educate the most are the ones that will immediately
 dismiss this kind of modal window. And new users won't have enough context
 to make any kind of decision, or to appreciate the time & effort that goes
 into crafting witty & multi-lingual content for these pages.

 Updates work best when new features can be exposed organically and
 naturally.

 As usual, I'm open to be outvoted and outsmarted. 😁
