 Hello @boonebgorges,

 Thank you for letting me know! I have now read #4958 and those two
 described issues exactly match – I lose the registration settings too if a
 field reports a failure.

 I'm using the KLEO theme, of which the developers state it is perfectly
 designed to work with BuddyPress. Should I alert the developers? Should I
 try the #4958 patches?
