 @boonebgorges tested your patch and it works fine. I tested with 104059
 new notifications for a user. Current version of BuddyPress had a fatal
 error and the admin bar did not show. Patched version (7130.3.diff) of
 BuddyPress did not fatal and admin bar showed up fine.
