 Hi @ravipatel-

 Thanks for your report. I'm not able to replicate your issue using either
 template pack (BP Legacy or BP Nouveau)--group membership requests are
 being created successfully via AJAX on my test and production sites.

 If you're seeing a `-1` response, that suggests to me that for some reason
 a `check_ajax_referer()` validation is failing somewhere along the way.
 (Check the time zone set for your site, maybe, since nonces are time
 sensitive?)
